Matthew Paige Damon, better know as Matt Damon was born on October 8, 1970. Matt Damon is an American actor, writer and philanthropist and poker player. Matt Damon's career was launched after the success of the film Good Will Hunting. The movie was from a screenplay he wrote with friend Ben Affleck (Also a Poker Player). Matt Damon and Ben Affleck won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay and the Golden Globe Award for Best Screenplay for their work and Matt Damon had multiple nominations for Best Actor for his lead performance in GoodWill Hunting.

Matt Damon has played roles in other films such as The Good Shepherd, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Saving Private Ryan, The Departed, the Ocean's series, Syriana and Rounders. Matt Damon also starred in The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum, which, in 2007, became the biggest August opening for a movie. He has received multiple award nominations for his film performances and now has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Matt Damon is one of the top thirty-five highest grossing actors of all time. In 2007, he was named Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine.

Matt Damon has been actively involved in charitable work, including the H2O Africa Foundation, ONE Campaign and Water.org.

Matt Damon's, appearance in Rounders seems to have kept his interest up in the game of poker. Matt Damon has played in major Poker tournaments such as Charity Events at The World Series of Poker and has been trained by poker star, Phil Hellmuth. Damon played in the Ante Up for Africa charity tournament, The Cannes Charity Poker event and assumingly man more.

Matt Damon can often be seen at high stakes cash tables with his life long child hood buddy Ben Affleck. It appears that Matt Damon has no major tournament wins up his belt but it is apparent that he is a brilliant player and has likely won quite a nice sum of cash playing at the casino.
