John is just the person next door who is living and working in Los Angeles. He likes playing poker with seven of his best friends to take of his mind of the daily rigors of life. The maximum bet being 25 cents makes for a fun game and no one goes home broke.
But John is the fed up of being the source of entertainment for his friends as he is the butt of most of their jokes. He feels disrespected and small.
This movie is about his ridiculous attempt to get revenge for the constant ribbing of his friends at their weekly poker game.
So he practices in secret and arranges for a winner takes all Freeze Out. The stakes get higher and he risks losing seven of his closest buddies.
