Robert Redford is a young con man who teams up with Paul Newman, a retired gambler to avenge the death of murder of their friend by a crime figure.
The two perform a series of cons in order to take revenge. The have an elaborate plan to trick Doyle Lonnegan , the racketeer and ultimately destroy him.
